Ideas for homemade gift wrap
Last 3 days before a red dressed gentleman break into your house to place at the foot of your Xmas tree all those pretty packages. Why not give him a helping hand & help to package all the wonderful surprises he chose for beloved ones ?
I give as much attention to a gift packaging as to its contents. Often, it just need a little detail to embellish the simplest gift. I love pretty package homemade with attention, much love and some imagination. Even if they aren’t perfect, they show sincere desire to pamper.
This year, I improvised with simple supplies cute packages. With kraft paper, masking tape, twine, confetti and a honeycomb paper ball, here is what I did:
I packed the gift in a white paper, then in a cellophane transparent florist paper. Before closing this second package, I slipped in confetti
On a kraft paper wrapping I made masking tape stripes of gradient colours
With large masking tape, I cut a big heart
With mixed patterns masking, I draw letters to write “LOVE”, it sounds appropriate, isn’t it?
On a twine, attach small strips of masking tape at regular intervals, give them flag forms. Attach the twine to the back of the package
Fix a honeycomb paper ball, draw wires and paste balloons cutted in masking tape
It’s nothing more than simple materials for homemade improvised small gifts but I know they’ll be valued. And you, how did you packed gifts this year?
