AND THERE WAS LIGHT – ACT 2

A LAMP MADE FROM BOXES

It has hardly been a week since we came of New Zealand. I have a lot of photos to share with you but I feel a bit frightened that you make an overdose. And what if I mix posts on this trip with other topics ?  Might it be a little more digestible isn’t it ? I have DIY projects that only ask to be realized – so if this plan suits you, I’m going to mix different posts on Be Frenchie.

After the pendant lamp made from a basket, here comes a new addition to the illuminated family; the boxed lamp. Not need to invest a fortune to own a graphic and coloured pendant lamp, an IKEA FARGTON gift box set and 15 minutes in front of you should be enough.

please move the slider on the picture to see both images

To make your lamp, you need :

a set of 3 IKEA FARGTON gift boxes , in stationery range – 5 €

a cord set, here I used IKEA HEMMA cord set – 4 €

a scalpel or hobby knife

a glue gun

and 15 minutes to make and install it

How to make your lamp from IKEA FARGTON boxes ?

Put on each other FARGTON boxes and lids to create a combination that you like

In the top element of your lamp, cut the form of your cord set to install it

With your scalpel, hollow out every other element

Glue your lamp together with the glue gun

And voila, you have a very actual design and coloured pendant lamp, in a flash!

To be continued…see you later for a new brilliant idea.

PS: would you like to make your own giant origami paper crane ? Complete tuto is here.

And during next week, we’ll tour again on New Zealand roads & cook apple & chips roast chicken leftovers. Wishing you a wonderful week-end !
